Tags are the easy way to classify and locate your media files. Multiple tags can be assigned to a single file without taking up additional space on your hard drive. All the information about a file can be described by a set of tags (title, rating, keywords, location, media format, copyright, camera model, color label, etc…).
Assigning Tags by drag&drop
In the Tags panel, you have two ways to assign your items to specific tags.
You can do this by dragging and dropping one or more elements from the browser window onto the desired tag, as shown in the following figure.
Assigning Tags via the context menu
Select one or more items in the browser and right-click on the desired tag in the Catalog Tags Panel. This opens a submenu from which you can select the command “assign the selected elements ‘TagName’“. If the current tag is already assigned to the selected elements, you can alternatively use the command ”Remove ‘TagName ‘from the selected Item” to delete this Tag from the selected items.
